I’m an
ordinary boy from Suzhou, China. Currently, I’m studying
in NIE (National Institute of Education) in Singapore
for my bridging course.
I’m one
of the sm2 scholars, a group of students from China sponsored by MOE in
Singapore. Our sponsors offer us the tuition
of university study; we have to work in Singapore
for 6 years as obligation.

What I've learned at NIE
First, I improved
my English in four areas – listening, writing, oral and reading. My English has been improved a lot compared with my
English standard in China. The English
I have learnt in China is almost useless here Second, I learnt how to live
and study independently in Singapore.
Third, I have known how foreigners look China
and Chinese. Fourth, I have realized some common shortages of Chinese. Last but not least, I found that local food is not
suitable for me. Eating hostel food equals suicide.
